Terms of Service

This is a translation provided for convenience. The Portuguese version is the legally binding one and prevails in case of any discrepancy.

1. Who we are

mailchecker.dev is an email address validation service operated by Leettech, a Brazilian company. These terms apply to the website, the dashboard (app.mailchecker.dev) and the API (api.mailchecker.dev). By creating an account or using the API, you agree to them.

2. The service

We check whether email addresses can receive messages, without sending any message to them: we check syntax, DNS and reference lists, and query the recipient’s mail server. The result is a technical estimate at the time of the check; servers change their behavior and no check guarantees the future delivery of a message.

3. Account and team

  • You are responsible for your team’s login details and API keys. Revoke any exposed key in the dashboard.
  • The team owner is responsible for the use made by the team’s members and keys.
  • Provide accurate information when signing up and when purchasing.

4. Credits and payment

  • Each address checked with a conclusive result uses 1 credit. unknown results and addresses repeated within the same list or batch do not.
  • Every team receives 100 free credits per month, which do not accumulate.
  • Pack credits are valid for 12 months from purchase. Subscription credits accumulate while the subscription is active.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are in Brazilian reais for Brazil and in US dollars for other countries, as shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase.
  • Credits cannot be exchanged for cash. Refund requests for unused purchases can be made to support, in accordance with the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (Código de Defesa do Consumidor) where applicable.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to validate only addresses you obtained legitimately and to use the results to maintain the quality of your own lists. You may not:

  • use the service to collect or guess addresses (harvesting) or to build third-party lists;
  • use the service to enable spam or the sending of unsolicited messages;
  • circumvent limits, resell access without authorization or overload the infrastructure;
  • violate the LGPD (Brazil’s General Data Protection Law) or any other applicable law.

We may limit, suspend or close accounts that break these rules, including by blocking domains that are queried abusively.

6. Free tool on the website

The single-address check at mailchecker.dev/verificar-email (in English, mailchecker.dev/en/email-checker) is limited to 10 checks per day per IP address and may be changed or suspended at any time.

7. Availability and liability

We work to keep the service available, but it is provided as is, with no guarantee of uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid by the team in the 12 months before the event.

8. Personal data

How we process data is described in the Privacy Policy and on the LGPD page (in Portuguese). For the lists you upload, you are the controller and we are the processor.

9. Cancellation and changes

You can cancel your subscription or delete your team at any time from the dashboard. We may change these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in the dashboard with reasonable notice.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Brazilian law. The courts of the consumer’s domicile, where applicable, or those of Leettech’s registered office have jurisdiction.
